finally find a home!
Bunny Magic is a rabbit sanctuary, and our rabbits are welcome to spend their entire lives in our care. However, we believe that every bunny deserves a loving home and our mission is to help them find a place where they can live out their lives in peace and comfort with the care of their very own family.
Unfortunately, some of our rabbits, while all very wonderful pets to the right person, have had a hard time finding a new home. Age may be the reason why, as most people don't want a bunny over 2 years old despite the years of loving a rabbit has left. Other reasons may include minor physical or behavioral challenges like maloccluded teeth, a splayed leg, or shyness. In fact, shyness is one of our most frustrating obstacles. Some of our most outgoing buns at home just hunker down in the litter box at adoption day, holding back from revealing their true selves until they can return to familiar surrounding to get the personalized socialization they crave from us or you. At times the challenge may be merely the color of their eyes or their fur. We will be happy to discuss the challenges each bunny faces if you are interested in giving one of these buns a chance.
In recognition of your willingness to consider these long-term shelter residents as potential pets we will consider accepting a smaller donation to our shelter for their adoption. Please mention this program when you ask us about our pets if you are willing to open your heart to a home-challenged bunny.
