HOW YOU CAN HELP:

Even if you can't adopt a bunny right now, you might be able to help out in other ways.  Bunny Magic is run by volunteers; we have no paid staff!  We need are always in need of assistance with:

• Adoption Days & Rabbit Education (We will be happy to train you!)

• Transportation to the Vet

• Shelter Care in Southern Maryland

• Foster Homes & Rabbit Socialization (Must have a commitment to transport rabbit to at least two adoption days a month)

• Assistance with tax records, office duties and record-keeping

• Adoption follow-ups

• Equipment donations & Towel Drives (see below)

• Sponsorship and financial support (see below) 

In addition, the bunnies at the shelter have the following requests.  These items can be dropped off at any of our adoption days, or we can arrange to meet you another time:

• Towels, Sheets, and Bedding of any kind

• Hard plastic cat toys

• A Baby Scale to determine rabbit  weight

• Ceramic crockery dishes

• Large litter pans

• Cages (please contact us before bringing a cage)

• Carefresh or Yesterday's News litter

And of course, we can always use assistance with our costs. 

For example:

A $10 donation will feed one rabbit for a month.

A $25 donation will buy oats for the shelter bunnies, or buy veggies for 2 weeks for foster buns.

A $50 donation will neuter a male, or buy pellets for the shelter for one week.

A $75 donation spay one female.

Classrooms, clubs and individuals are also offered an opportunity to sponsor a rabbit cage for 3, 6, or 12 months at a time.  This will include an educational visit from one of Bunny Magic's volunteers and updates about the rabbit(s) who are housed in the sponsored cage.  Please contact us if your group would be interested in providing funds to support one cage.
